Veteran Vintage-Nachimuthu breeze through---------at Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Sabah Closed Championship day 3

Joint overnight leader R. Nachimuthu seized a one-stroke lead after the third round of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Sabah Closed Championship today
The veteran, who was tied for the lead with Nicholas Fung, shot a two-under 70 to climb to eight-under 208 at Sabah Golf & Country Club. Meanwhile, Fung managed a 71 and slipped one stroke off the lead to second spot.
Seeking a first title of the season, Sukree Othman played himself into contention as he made a telling move on the third day. The multiple winner on Tour fired the low round of the RM180,000 tournament, a six-under 66 that gave him a five-under 211 total and third place.
Nachimuthu played controlled and disciplined golf as he held his round together with a couple of birdies that were counted by a bogey on the par-4 7th hole.
In contrast, Fung had five birdies that were offset by a double-bogey at the 2nd hole, and another two bogeys at the 9th and 10th holes.
In blistering form after a rather mundane opening two days, Sukree blitzed the Sabah course with five birdies over the first five holes. A bogey at the par-5 6th hole checked his advances but by the time he got to the 14th hole he was seven-under-par.
Bogeys at the 15th and 18th, could not halt his momentum and a birdie thrown in at the 16th left Sukree in a reasonably good position to make run for it in tomorrow's final round.
Speaking after his six-under round, Sukree said: "It was a good score on this course and it might have been even better if not for those three bogeys.
"I played well generally, but it was my putting that made the difference. I putted well, despite one three-putt that almost spoilt it for me," added Sukree, whose last victory on the Tour came at the PGM Championship at Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia last year.
