Weather ruins second round at Glenmarie
The threat of lightning brought a premature end to the second day of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour's RM200,000 Northport Glenmarie Championship at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam today and it left the clubhouse leaders on six-under-par 138.
First round co-leader Jordan Irawan of Indonesia was among them after shooting an even-par 72.
He was joined at the top of the leaderboard in the clubhouse with Blake Synder (68) of the United States, Thailand’s Thammanoon Sriroj (69) and Malaysia’s Nicholas Fung, who had a 71.
Play was brought to a halt at today with 25 players still to finish their second rounds and the tournament organisers, the PGM and the Asian Development Tour (ADT) confirmed that play would resume at , before the third round begins, not before .
Among those who did manage to finish was Malaysian Airil Rizman who fired a 70 and was tied for fifth place on 139 – just one shot back.
