Amateur player Casper Loh wins the fifth leg of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Development Qualifying School

Amateur player Casper Loh won the fifth leg of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Development Qualifying School Circuit today.

The overnight leader shot a 79 to finish the three-day PGM Tour feeder circuit event on 16-over-par 232. That gave Casper a seven-stroke victory over fellow Sabah Golf & Country Club in Kota Kinabalu amateur player Mohd Firdaus Ibnu.

For his part, Firdaus carded a 78 to end on 239 in a tournament that had its dates changed from May 2-4 to May 1-3 and reduced to just two players.

Despite being happy to have won the tournament, Casper said he was disappointed as he “could have played better”.

“I won the title but I am sad that I did not play better,” he said.
