Tiny in size Big in strokes takes the lead @Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) johor Championship

Nicholas Fung 64 round 3

Nicholus is tiny in size but wield a huge Armour of strokes. He take one by one as and when fitting is right. That is intelligent golf.Blasting ball after ball in driving range will blunt this ability of firing many different strokes as it needs.

Exhibiting a  form that earned him two Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Player of the Year awards, Nicholas Fung blasted   the course at the Johor Championship today to secure a four-stroke lead after the third round.

Sabahan lad fired a fine eight-under-par 64 that took him to 19-under 197 with just a day to go. This was a season’s best from Fung and richly deserved.

Conceding after the round that he started a bit shaky, he added: “After the birdie at the 2nd hole and the bogey at par-5 4th hole, I felt good about my game and everything I hit went to where it was supposed to.

“My driving, iron and approach shots to the green, as well as my putting were all in rhythm. I birdied the 6th and 7th holes and then had another at the 9th as I made the turn in three-under. And then I eagled the 11th which really got me going,” added Fung, who said the course was set-up well for low scoring.
