Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour’s Sarawak Championship at Kelab Golf Sarawak




Grant Jackson took the first round lead of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour’s Sarawak Championship at Kelab Golf Sarawak today.
The 32-year-old Englishman, seeking a second victory on the domestic circuit, shot a 6-under 66 to lead by one stroke from Thailand’s Tirawat Kaewsiribandit and was three ahead of a four-way tie for third place. Australian Michael Moore, Pasamet Pogamnerd of Thailand, England’s Shaun Malone and Malaysian Shaaban Hussin were bunched on 69.
In a tie for seventh place were 10 players on three-under for the round – they were the Thai duo of Nakarintra Ratanakul and Pavit Tangkamolprasert, Malaysians Khor Kheng Hwai, R. Nachimuthu, Sukree Othman, Kenneth De Silva, Nicholas Pua and John Pang, Irishman Niall Turner and Singapore’s Koh Deng Shan.
