Sattaya Supupramai opened up a three-stroke lead after the third round of the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour’s RM250,000 Sabah Championship today.
The lad who has led or held a share of the lead over all three rounds at Sabah Golf & Country Club, fired an impressive five-under-par 67 to finish the day with a 205 total. That 11-under effort gave him a decent margin to work with, going into the fourth and final round , where Irishman Niall Turner will start as his main threat.
Turner, too, shot a 67 and moved to eight-under 208 for the tournament and was one shot ahead of Malaysia’s Arie Irawan, who started the day co-leader, but slipped to third place with a 71.
