How surroundings effect the balance of a person, then the shot
Elevated tee box is uncomfortable to a flimsy mind.
ENCLOSED TEE BOX IS VERY COMFY
Enclosed surrounding will result in a   shot like in the Driving range.
To a mind that see only the air route to  the target ,club face , ball and nothing else, all courses will be  the same. Only the greens roll is different..That has to be felt by the first trample of the grass.

PGM Perlis Classic R4
SUKREE Othman

 Sukree the winer
by  five-stroke victory at Perlis Classic

SUKREE Othman won his first title of the PGM Tour this season when he romped home to a five-stroke victory in the Perlis Classic today.

It was a comfortable and deserved win in the end for the player who shot a final round 72 at Kelab Golf Putra in Perlis, having started the last day of the RM150,000 event with a three-shot cushion. He finished on five-under 283, with Iylia Jamil (72) taking second place and Shaifubari Muda (75) third a further stroke back on 289.

Shaifubari Muda

Shaaban Hussin (70) was alone in fourth on 290, while Md Rashid Ismail (70) and M. Rizal Amin (75) were tied for fifth on four-over. Kemarol Baharin (73), R. Nachimuthu (73) and Airil Rizman (74) were joint seventh on 293, with Kenneth De Silva (70) and S. Murthy (74) in 10th place, another shot adrift.

With Sukree being the only player to shoot under-par for the tournament and win by such a huge margin, he made it look simple, but that was far from the case. He acknowledged as much when he said just tried to play par and keep the ball in the fairway – and that is just how it turned out for him.

“The weather, mostly the wind, is what made it extra tough here this week,” said Sukree, who collected the winner’s cheque of RM25,200. “So the plan was to keep the ball in the fairway and try to set up chances for birdie, which worked out well for me.

“I closed with an even-par 72, but as you can see, only three players in the top-15 shot under-par here today. I am really very happy with this win. It was a difficult challenge all round – the course played tough with the weather being a big factor and the field had all the country’s top players in it – except Danny (Chia).

“It was not easy, so it is very rewarding to come through and manage to win it,” he added.

Tun Ahmad Sarji, chairman of the PGM Tour, said he was delighted to see the players show great grit in the face of the tough course and weather conditions, adding that it would bode well for them in the future.

“We (the Tour) are pleased to see the quality of golf improve and this was evident in the way the players handled themselves in the tough conditions this week,” said Tun Sarji. “It’s important for the players to learn from these experiences because it will hold them in good stead when they play at foreign venues in international tournaments, and against international players.”

The PGM Tour takes time off for the fasting month and returns for the Kinrara Masters at Kinrara Golf Club in Puchong, Selangor from August 15-18

Sukree Extends His Lead
SUKREE Othman opened up a three-stroke lead after the third round of the PGM Perlis Classic at Kelab Golf Putra in Perlis today.
The overnight leader, who started the third day of the RM150,000 tournament with a one-shot advantage, carded a two-under 70 to move to a five-under 211 total as he tightened his grip on the PGM Tour’s event in the northern most state of the country.
Shaifubari Muda, who led after the opening day, stayed in touch with an even-par effort and finished on 214. Four shots off the pace in third place was Iylia Jamil (70), while Rizal Amin’s 75 saw him slip to fourth on 217.
Airil Rizman signed for a three-under 69 that proved the low round of the day and left him in fifth spot on three-over 219, one ahead of a five-way tie for sixth – Rahizam Ramli (72), R. Nachimuthu (73), Shaaban Hussin (73), S. Murthy (74) and Kemarol Baharin (75).
In conditions that were a lot better than the second when the wind was really up, Sukree had two birdies and a bogey on each nine, which in the end made him content with his performance.
“The conditions were a bit better than yesterday when the wind was terrible,” said Sukree, “But it was still not easy out there. However, I am pleased with my round today as I hit the ball solidly and made a few good putts. I also made a few mistakes, but in these conditions you can expect that to happen.”
He added that he looked forward to “going out there tomorrow and try to do the same all over again.
“If I can just keep in the same zone as the past couple of days then I should be a in relatively good position tomorrow,” added Sukree.

Round 2  rain this morning delaying tee off to 11am instead of the normal 8am tee off time.  Strong wind conditions did not help much either resulting in only one player returning below par.  Many were mesmerized by this feat as it was pretty difficult playing in these conditions.

Kelab golf putra perlis

Sukree Leads at the Halfway Mark
Wet, windy conditions make it tough going in Perlis Classic

INCLEMENT weather caused a three-hour delay in the start to the second round of the PGM Perlis Classic at Kelab Golf Putra in Perlis today and played havoc with the scores in the RM150,000 tournament.

However, even the awful weather, which still had winds of up to 35km/h in the afternoon, could not hold down Sukree Othman, who shot a one-over 73 and opened up a single stroke lead at the top of the leaderboard. He finished on three-under 141 at the halfway stage.

First round leader Shaifubari Muda followed up his opening five-under with a 75. It left him on two-under 142 for the tournament and in a tie for second with Rizal Amin (69), who fired the only under-par round of the day.

Kemarol Baharin (73) was alone in fourth on 145, while Iylia Jamil (73), Keegan Kam (74), S. Murthy (76) and eighteen-year-old M. Azry Asyraf (78) were joint fifth on two-over. R. Nachimuthu (75), second on the PGM Tour Order of Merit, was tied for ninth on 147, alongside Haziq Hamizan (75) and Shaaban Hussin (79). Rahizam Ramli’s three-over 75 had him in sole possession of 12th place on 148.

The weather was the focal point of events at Kelab Golf Putra today and halfway stage leader Sukree spoke for almost all when he said the wind was unrelenting and merciless.

“There was no escaping the wind,” said Sukree. “The rain made the course softer and obviously easier to play, but the wind took over and made things really, very tough out there. I was just trying to play par around this course today and I am happy that I managed a one-over because I think it is a good score in the conditions.”

He added: “Of course, Rizal (Amin) shot three-under which is really magnificent when you look at the scoreboard. So hats off to him.”

Indeed, only six players shot two-over or better and Rizal, the best of the lot with his three-under 69, said in many instances he was just plain lucky.

“Of course I am more than pleased with a three-under round in these conditions,” said Rizal. “But a few times I got a few lucky breaks, which help in golf. It was almost impossible to play in this wind.”

He added: “The 116-yard par-3 12th and 190-yard par-3 16th holes were nightmares for me, and I think for some of the others too. Still, I managed five birdies and I am happy I am still in the leading pack at the halfway mark.”

PGM Perlis Classic R1

Shaifubari Leads By One
Teenager shoots 31 on the back nine, en route to a four-under 68

SHAIFUBARI Muda carved out a one-stroke lead in the PGM Perlis Classic at Kelab Golf Putra in Perlis today after firing a five-under 67.

That effort left Sukree Othman, Shaaban Hussin and M. Azry Asyraf joint second on four-under, while M. Sasidaran and S. Murthy were fifth a stroke further back on 70. Lim Eng Seng was alone in seventh place after shooting a one-under 71. Haziq Hamizan, Keegan Kam, Ong Jay Vie, R. Nachimuthu, Kemarol Baharin and Idzwan Marappan were tied for eighth spot on even-par.

In total contrast to last season when the course played real tough and had the winner finish over-par, 13 players managed to equal par or do better in the opening round this year. Some of it has to do with the preferred lies, forced on the tournament by heavy rain yesterday.

Shaifubari, with six birdies and a bogey at the 18th, said he took each hole as it came and added that he was comfortable with the Kelab Golf Putra conditions.

“I played a good round of golf today,” said Shaifubari, who went out in 33 and carded a 34 on the homeward nine. “I did not hit the ball as well as I can, but I recovered well when I needed to and my putting was extra special.

“I felt comfortable throughout the round and maybe that is why I finished on five-under,” added the player who had a 69 as his previous best score on this layout.

Azry, who is just 18 years old, said he too was pleased with his performance today. The Kulim lad blitzed the back nine as he came home with a 31 – signing for birdies at Nos. 10, 13, 14, 16 and 18. He was one-over on the front nine.

“I bogeyed the par-4 5th hole, but I did not change my game-plan, which was to keep the ball in the fairway and give myself birdie chances,” said Azry. “It worked well on the back nine where I had five birdies in all. Hopefully I can continue like this throughout the tournament, but I know it will be difficult as there are many good players in the field here at Kelab Golf Putra.”

Six strokes separate the top-19, which should make for an interesting second day tomorrow.
